Obituary

William T. Reynolds, Jr. was born on July 9, 1946, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late Louise and William Reynolds, Sr. He peacefully entered eternal rest on June 12, 2025, after faithfully answering God's call, saying, "I am ready."

William received his education at Armstrong High School and later worked for many years at Philip Morris. He proudly served his country in the United States Military, demonstrating honor, dedication, and service both at home and abroad.

A true lover of sports, William was a gifted athlete who played basketball, football, and baseball. His greatest passion was for the diamond and the gridiron. He played for the Amazing Mets of Lakefield and later had the pleasure of coaching the team for four memorable years. Whether on the field or in the stands, he always brought heart and enthusiasm. William was also a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and followed them faithfully each season.

From an early age, William found and embraced the Lord. His faith remained a guiding light throughout his life. He lived with purpose, kindness, and strength, uplifting those around him with both words and actions.

William was preceded in death by his brothers, Linwood Alston and James Reynolds; his sister, Evelyn Jenkins; his daughter, Claire Louise Reynolds; and his son, Mario Wells.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children: William Reynolds III (Carole), Lucretia Haywood, Adam Hall, Yolanda Reynolds, Billy Reynolds (Vanessa), and Marquita Reynolds- Taylor (Kevin); 26 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his loving sisters, Mary James (Rick) and Hildagard Thurman; his forever love, Warnetta Trent; as well as a host of great-nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

William's legacy of love, strength, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
