Welford L. Williams Sr. passed away peacefully on June 22, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, WillieMae Williams; and daughter, Karen Williams Browne. He is survived by seven children, Lorraine Jackson, Winifred Williams, Leslie "Valeta", Alesia, Welford Jr., Bridgette, and Dwayne (Angel); a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where viewing will take place Monday, July 1, 2024, from 2 to 8 p.m., and where funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 12 noon. Interment will take place on a later date in Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
