Walter L.
Bullock
d. Mar 29, 2024
Walter Lee Bullock was born to the Late Thurman Lee Bullock Sr. and Fannie L. Preston Bullock Logan on February 04, 1970 in
Richmond Virginia, where he attended Richmond Public schools. At a young age, he joined the Woodland Job Corp Center, where he received his GED and successfully completed all the requirements to become a certified nursing assistant on April 27th 1990. After returning home, he worked in several nursing facilities where he enjoyed meeting and helping many. Having a love and old soul for singing gospel, he wouldn't hesitate to bless and encourage anybody with a song of their choice. He had a heart of gold and deep love for his children, friends, and family. He loved to crack jokes, especially when around his brothers, who all shared the same sense of humor and together it was never ending. Walter later dedicated the majority of his time volunteering on diverse projects, such as Bridges out of Poverty, Mental Health, First Aid, and the Recovery Coach Academy. The Bridges out of Poverty project focuses on helping individuals and families achieve financial stability by addressing various topics such as budgeting, saving, and home buying. It aims to empower participants to move to property ownership and financial independence through education and support. He also served as a mentor to young people, imparting valuable life lessons, encouraging them to follow their dreams, and helping them prepare for the future. In addition, Walter could be found volunteering at soup kitchens, feeding the homeless, and leading Bible study classes. Grateful for what God had done in his life, he never hesitated to share his testimony in order to help someone else.
Walter entered into rest on March 29, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father Thurman Lee Bullock Sr., mother Fannie L. Logan, grandfather John Jackson Sr., and eldest sister, Diane Sawyer.
