Tyshaun D. Bates, Jr. was born June 21, 2007 to Shantea Seward and Tyshaun D. Bates, Sr. in Richmond, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother Rachel Seward and great great grandmother, Theresa Bates.

Tyshaun attended Chesterfield County School. He loved life, lived it to the fullest and was always a joy to be around. Tyshaun was a devoted son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend whom we loved dearly. He will be deeply missed by family, many loved ones and friends which will always cherish great memories and love for him.

He departed this life on April 2, 2025. Tyshaun is survived by his parents Shantea Seward and Tyshaun D. Bates, Sr.; four brothers, Demonta, Jashaun, Jayce and Seven; two sisters, Samirah and Jalynn; niece, Sana'a and nephew, Da'carri; grandmother, Saundra Bates; devoted grandparents, Betty Seward (Jerry); extended siblings and devoted family and friend, Aaron Ellis; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
