Obituary

Thomas Earl Taylor "Tiny" departed this life on Sunday, January 7, 2024. Thomas was born May 5, 1955, and was the third of six children to the late Fred Taylor and Alice McPleasant in Chase City, Virginia. Thomas was educated in Chase City, Mecklenburg County school systems. At the age of 16, he joined job corps and studied to become a tractor trailer truck driver. After his training, he returned home to Richmond to be with his family and started his truck driving career. Thomas also worked for the Richmond Public School System in the Maintenance Department as a Supervisor for 5 years. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Parrish; and devoted Friend, Belinda Wilkerson. Thomas loved being with family and friends listening to music, especially Tyrone Davis, Percy Sledge, Ottis Redding and B. B. King! He also enjoyed watching old cartoons, and joking with his nieces and nephews which affectionally called him "Uncle Tiny". Thomas enjoyed fishing and talking about catching the BIG ONE! Thomas leaves to cherish his memories his beloved children, sons, Vaughn Parrish, Brad Wilkerson, and Greg Wilkerson; daughter, LaKesha Carthorn; devoted sisters, Deborah Ford, Pauline Oliver (James), Phyllis Parham, and Kristie Taylor; loving brothers, Larry Taylor (Marilyn), Fred Taylor (Laura), Alvin Taylor, Anthony Taylor, and Fredrick Taylor; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
