Rev. Russell E. Brown departed this life March 12, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alice Walker Brown; two children, John F. Walker (Brenda) and Michelle Brown Peters (Willie); six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one brother, Lemuel Brown Sr.; two godchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends. Professional services entrusted to Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where the family will receive friends Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Providence Park Baptist Church, 468 E. Ladies Mile Rd., on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11 a.m. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park.
