Rodney A. Davis

Rodney Andre Davis, affectionately known as "Hog” departed this life on August 2, 2026, at the age of 68, in Louisville, Kentucky, following a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Rodney leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughters, LaWanda, Shana, and Yumika; his beloved grandchildren, Adrienne, Kevin, Shawn Jr., Shianne, and Christian; his treasured great-grandson, Xa’mir; his brothers, Raymond Jr. (Linda), Renard, and Russell; sisters, Deidre and Donnette; a host of nieces and nephews; along with many other close relatives, lifelong friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness, humor, and resilience.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Qiana Scott; his parents, Raymond Sr. and Edith Davis; his brothers, Reuben Davis, Richard Davis, and Ralph Davis; and his sisters, Regina Stringer and Debra Scott.

Professional services entrusted to Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 1p.m. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
