Preston W. Hill departed this life October 21, 2025. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Hill. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Hill; daughter, Janice Hill; son, Gregory Hill; granddaughter, Je'Nae Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Professional services entrusted to Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where the family will receive friends Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 5 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Rising Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2705 Hartman St., on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 1 p.m. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. To honor Preston's memory, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rising Mount Zion Baptist Church "Make It Happen Campaign".
