Patrice A. Lane, of Richmond, Va., also known as "Nana" & "Trice", a beacon of kindness and unwavering spirit, went to eternal rest on March 9, 2025, at the age of 54. Patrice was a loving wife, a devoted parent, dedicated grandmother and true friend, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that touched countless lives. Patrice was born on July 29, 1970, to the late William Leroy Anderson Jr. and Phyllis Johnson. Patrice was enrolled in Hanover County Schools and graduated from Patrick Henry High School, where she was known for her love of basketball. She had numerous Wins and was also named "MVP". She then went and got her associate's degree from J. Sargent Reynolds majoring in Child Education. She found joy in driving the school bus, spending time with family and tending to her garden. Patrice was always eager to share her passion and knowledge about her garden and canning vegetables. Patrice was employed with Henrico County Public Schools Transportation for 18+ years and touched the lives of all the children she drove on her school bus.
Patrice is survived by her husband, Michael Lane Sr.; their six children, the late Kendra Williams, ShaToya Lane, ShaMeka Brown (Eugene), Landra Taylor, Kenya Williams and Michael Lane Jr.; her six grandchildren, A'Landria Hawthorne, Kathy Lane, Jaden Brown, J'La Powers, Aaliyah and Layla Milton; her seven siblings, William L.Anderson lll, David L.Anderson (Nancy), Asalah A.El-Fakhri (Yusuf El-Fakhri) , Ti'See, Fruitsee, Megan and Latney; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Patrice will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
