Obituary

Milton Earl Wilkins, born on July 23, 1962, to Willie Earl Wilkins and Mary Alice Wilkins of Enfield, North Carolina. Milton entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at his residence.

At an early age, Milton accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at The Grayland Baptist Church. Milton was educated in Richmond Public School System. At an early age Milton worked with a traveling home building company based in Maryland and Philadelphia. That's when he discovered his love for the Philadelphia Eagles like his sister, Wilma and brother, Robert.

Milton was a great listener, gave the best advice and could be trusted with your deepest secret. His door was always open for candid conservation, an intense game of chess, checkers, poker, and guaranteed to get a big hug. He loved eating seafood, watching western shows, and posting jokes and music on social media.

Later, Milton returned to Virginia and worked at Richmond City Hall and attended Virginia Commonwealth University as a part time student. Leap year, February 29, 1992, changed his life. Despite facing physical challenges, Milton was an incredible provider who showed that love, determination, and perseverance could overcome any obstacle. He was a man of remarkable strength, warmth, and resilience who brought joy and love to all who knew him. His life was a testament to the power of kindness, hard work, and unwavering devotion to family and community.

Milton was also embraced by his Highland Park community, a place and people he loved dearly. To his neighbors and friends, he was a source of inspiration and unwavering support, always ready to lend a hand or share a kind word. Milton's life was defined by his generosity, gentle spirit, and the depth of love he held for his family and friends.

As we say goodbye to Milton, we carry forward his legacy of strength and compassion. He taught us that life's greatest challenges can be met with grace, and he reminded us daily that love is the most important gift we can offer one another. His memory will forever remain in our hearts, and his spirit will continue to shine through all those he leaves behind.
