Michael Anthony Palmer was born on April 13, 1964, to the late Charles Palmer and Mary Thaniel. He was the youngest of four siblings and was dearly loved by his family.

He was educated in the Richmond Public School system. At an early age, Michael was baptized at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and later attended St. Paul Baptist Church, where he continued to grow in his faith.

A man of many talents, Michael worked as a contractor and was skilled in various trades. He was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to use his hands to build and create.

In his leisure time, Michael found joy in being surrounded by family and friends. He loved sharing laughter, telling stories, and enjoying a good game of chance—always for fun and fellowship.

Michael was blessed with a host of devoted family members and lifelong friends who will deeply miss his presence.

Michael departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He leaves to celebrate his life his beloved daughter, Shakeya Newman, and three grandsons who brought him immense joy: Donte' Robinson, Anthony Jr., and A'Tayo Andrews; two sisters, Shirley Thaniel and Angela Palmer; one brother, Richard Thaniel; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He will be remembered for his big heart, unwavering loyalty, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
