Martha McMoore Collins Jackson, 89, of Richmond, departed this life June 3, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Jackson Jr. She leaves to cherish and carry on her memory her children, Otha Collins (Clarencia), Harriet Stanton (Elwood), Bettye Joiner, Barbara Jackson Battle, Anthony Jackson, Joyce Jackson Johnson, Levern Williams, John Jackson III (Joyce), and Cynthia Jackson Burton; a special son of God, Bishop Darryl Husband; sisters, Bettie Simpson Johnson, Barbara Simpson Smith, and Margie Simpson Sutton; brothers, Jessie Lee McMoore, Joe Louis McMoore, and Rev. John Simpson; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Professional services entrusted to Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St. Funeral services will be held at Mount Olivet Church, 1223 N. 25th St., on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 11 a.m. Viewing will take place at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment Maury Cemetery.
