Margaret Ann Smith, affectionately known as Marg, by family and friends, departed this life on November 17, in the year of our lord two thousand and twenty-four. Margaret, the six of eight children, was born in Richmond, Virginia on January 14, 1961 to the late Calvin and Emma Vera Smith.

Margaret is preceded in death by her sisters, Delores Smith Booker, Gloria J. Skipwith and Raymonia Smith Clark; brother, Michael W. Smith, and a niece, Ashley D. Coles.

Margaret at an early age, accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.  Margaret was educated in the Richmond Public School System, and a graduate of Class 1981 from Armstrong, Kennedy High School in Richmond, Virginia.

Margaret touched many souls with her love for life and especially for kids. Even though Margaret never had any children of her own, she was a mother to so many. Margaret will be most remembered for her energetic and nurturing spirit, her love for dance and music, and most importantly her love for family.  Everybody loved and knew Ms. Margaret, not to mention the younger generation never miss the opportunity to stop and visit with Ms. Margaret.

She leaves to cherish her beloved memories: three siblings, Gregory Habeeb, Vernell Williams (George) of San Bernardino, California, and Felicia Coles; two nieces, Tara and Latoya; five nephews, Samuel, Gregory, Antoine, Donte and George Dion; a host of great nieces and nephews; many childhood friends and longtime devoted spiritual sister and best friend, Beverly "Bell" Collins.
