Linda D. Revels

With hearts filled with love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce that the gentle hand of the Lord called Linda Diane Revels home to eternal glory on July 7, 2026.

Linda was born on August 21, 1957, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late Fannie Louise Jenkins and Grayson Finney, Jr. She was preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Cassandra Louise Thrower and Cynthia D. Hawkins; grandmother, Willie Mae Lawson and her cherished godson, Immanuel Joel Hurte.

A proud graduate of John Marshall High School, Class of 1977, Linda pursued her passion for caring for others by earning her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification. Throughout her nursing career, she compassionately served patients in several nursing facilities and private homes. Her dedication and loving care made such a lasting impact that one grateful patient invited her to accompany the family on a week-long vacation to Florida. When health challenges brought her nursing career to an end, Linda remained determined to learn and grow. She continued her education and earned degrees in Computer Science and Clerical Studies.

Linda embraced life with joy, grace, and an unwavering love for her family. She found happiness in traveling, reading, crocheting, watching classic movies, and listening to old-school music, along with comedy laughter. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her family and especially looked forward to making lasting memories with her godsons, who held a special place in her heart.

Linda leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted husband of 49 years, Robert Revels, Jr.; brother, Grayson Finney, III; sister, Diane Eaton (Rodney); sister-in-law, Brenda Finney; brothers-in-law, Rozell Revels (Kay), Reginald Revels (Delisa), and Raynard Revels (Wanda); nephews, Clyde Hawkins, Keith Finney, Corey Finney, Kevin Finney, Jahmal Hawkins, and DeAndre King; nieces, Tyra Ross, Crystal and Karen Eaton; beloved godsons, Imari Hurte, Steve Hurte, and Gilbert Hurte, Jr.; special aunt, Jonnie Mae Stephens; cousins, Valita Lyons and Stacy Hurte; devoted best friend, Rev. Lydia Jackson Evans; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, aunts, uncles, other loving relatives, and dear friends.

Though Linda has departed from this earthly life, the love she shared, the kindness she extended, and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and faith will continue to inspire generations to come.
