Larry D. Johnson

Larry Donnelle Johnson, affectionately known as “Faye”, “Hollywood” and “Meatball”, 35, of Richmond, VA, departed this life on Wednesday, March 6, 2026. He was born on January 29, 1991, to Collette Johnson‑Terry and Larry Lindsey.

Larry attended Richmond Public Schools and graduated from Huguenot High School in 2009. A natural hustler with a sharp mind and big ambition, he became a serial entrepreneur and built several businesses, including Faye Logistics. He lived life in motion—literally. If it had wheels, he loved it. Dirt bikes, four‑wheelers, bikes, cars—anything that moved, he was on it. He was a proud member of RVA Bike Life.

Larry loved the Dallas Cowboys, Newport 100s (those long cigs), loud music, and even louder engines. “Loud pipes, big rims—baby, that’s what he liked.” You always heard him coming before you saw him. He lived boldly, traveled widely, and never turned down an adventure, not even skydiving. He was generous to a fault and would help anyone who needed him.

But what people remember most is his spirit. Larry was a jokester through and through—always “pickified,” clowning, ready to make somebody laugh. And when he laughed, you couldn’t help but laugh too. His laugh filled a room the same way his presence did. He had a way of lifting the mood, even on the hardest days.

He could also throw down on the grill. His grilled lamb chops were legendary. His mom, family, and friends loved them and he took pride in feeding the people he loved.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Collette Terry; stepfather, George Terry; son, Tru Loyalty Johnson; brother, Larry Hill; and grandparents, Edmond Johnson and Leora Lindsey.

He is survived by his four children: daughters, Ivyana Johnson (Indigo) and Lyric Johnson (Judy); sons, Larry Johnson Jr. (Quaa) and Legacy Johnson (Rashad). He also leaves his father, Larry Lindsey; siblings, Emanuel, Lynette, Charon, Donnesha—his rock—(and brother‑in‑love Dra‑on Banks), Charmaine, Desmond, Darrius, Diore’, Breanna, brother, Lil Edmond “Boosie” Hutcherson; and grandmother, Bertha Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends carry his memory forward.

Larry was deeply loved by his family and friends. He will be truly missed. His smile, his jokes, his laugh, and his big heart will never be forgotten. Cocoa is now reunited with her favorite—give Ma a hug and kiss for us.
