Kevin Gerrod Monroe, of Richmond, departed this life February 27, 2025, at Louisville, Kentucky hospital ICU-Unit in Louisville Kentucky. He was born August 25, 1964, to the late Sgt. Herbert & Mary Alice Monroe. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lorenzo & Andrew Monroe; and his nephew, Demetri Monroe. He leaves to cherish his memories, one sister, Esther Monroe Hill (Dwayne); five brothers, Herbert Jr. (Alita), Billy Ray (Barbara), Anthony (Patricia), Timothy (Suaard), and Turner; sister-in-law, Jacquline Monroe; a beloved friend, ReJena Harris; seven nephews, eight nieces, one uncle, Bernell Sargent; stepchildren, Kevin, Gerrod, and Keisha Willis; friend, Sandra; and a host of cousins, other family members and friends.

Professional services entrusted to Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where a memorial service will be held Friday, March 14, 2025, at 1 p.m., followed by a Repast later that day.
