Kenneth O.
Ellett
d. Sep 17, 2022
Kenneth O'Neal Ellett was born March 30, 1989 to Charles Edward Staples and Shirley Ellett Davis. Kenny was called to rest and departed this life on September 17, 2022, doing what he loved (fishing). He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ethel Wilmer and Woodrow Wilmer. Departing this life with him was his brother Johnthan Lee Jackson. Kenny, as a young man grew up under the care of a nurturing family. His mother, grandmother, and Godfather, Joe Foxworth; whom he all loved and cherished very dearly. After completing his education, Kenny enlisted into the United States Navy. After getting settled Kenny brought along his
brother Antonio to journey with him through this next phase of life. Kenny served in the service for five years. He took the honors of being in the lives of four special children whom he loved as his own, Jordon, Jayla, London and Tremaine Piggott, and they all loved Kenny as much as he loved them.
Kenny later worked at the Department of Corrections followed by the railroad. He then went on to work for what he called the job of his dreams (Dupont). Kenny loved his family and never forgot anyone whom he came in contact with along his life's journey. He was a simple and honorable man who worked hard and loved even harder. Kenny often said how blessed he was to be able to be a blessing to others. That alone gave him joy. He believed in people being productive in this life. He was the very example of making the best of the cards you have been dealt. One of his favorite sayings was, "Try Jesus, don't try me". Kenny met Alicia Piggott in October of 2020 and they both fell in love instantly. Kenny adored the very ground Alicia walked on, and she likewise. The love they shared was priceless. Kenny in his spare time enjoyed hunting, fishing, barbecuing, and visiting family and friends. He also enjoyed ministering to the needs of elderly and others.
He leaves to cherish his memories and leaves a legacy to his mother, Shirley Ellett Davis; father, Charles Staples; sisters, Destiny Jackson and Gwen Staples; brothers, Antonio Ellett and Charles Staples Jr; nephews, Mason, Mehki, Bryson and Jahsaan; and his nieces, Victoria, Jasmine, Julieanna, Jayda, and Kayla. Also, memories to be cherished by the love of his life Alicia Piggott (London and Tremaine); and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and special friends, Davon, Bruce and Andrea.
