Jesse Jayveon Trent, "Ratchet Man", 30, of Richmond, departed this life unexpectedly on March 28, 2023. The family is deeply saddened.
Jesse was born September 24, 1992, to Monique D. Trent and Anthony Emil Johnson in Richmond, Va. Jesse attended Richmond Public Schools, and was very passionate about football and other sports.
Jesse was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frederick and Jessie Shelton, and Paul Norwood; as well as his father, Anthony E. Johnson.
Jesse leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Monique D. Trent; grandmother, Janet Norwood; children, Javonte Keymone Trent (son of Lisa) and Cheniya Arrington (daughter of Sabrina); his bonus kids, Andrea and Andre Seward; siblings, Dontrey Trent (girlfriend Shae), Briana Trent (girlfriend Keyonte), and Teasia Trent; three nieces, Chauntise Williams, Cali Trent, and Briana Trent; three nephews, Legacy Trent, Camryn Trent, and Elijah Trent; a host of aunts and uncles including Felicia Shelton, Sharon Trent, and William Trent; a host of cousins, including his favorite, Francis Henley, as well as Nico, Keon (Fresh), Tiffany, Starnesha, and Xavier; step-father, Merlin Williams; a special friend, Rakeisha Green; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Jesse had a contagious smile and a kind spirit. He was goofy and funny, and considered himself to be a great debater. If he could help you, he would, or try his best. Jesse you will forever be in our hearts.
