Jerina Charlene Jackson was born on February 23, 1953, and entered eternal rest on April 15, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Carlton and Pearl Hudson Jackson; and her son, Frizzell Von Jackson. Memories of her life and legacy will live on in the heart of her daughter, Shelby Jackson. Other survivors include four brothers, Carlton Jackson, George Slater, Cosby Slater, and Kenny Terry; four sisters, Gloria Redmond (John), Grace Ross (James), Terry Thomas (Michael), and Yvonne Peerman; an aunt, Violet Walston; devoted friend and godmother of Shelby, Raquel Byrd; and a host of other relatives and friends.  A memorial service will be held at From the Heart Church Ministries, 2401 Byron Street, on Friday, April 28, at 1 p.m.
