Jamene Leonette Walters, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, at the age of 68. Born on October 8, 1956, Jamene spent her life bringing joy and light to everyone around her.

She was a dedicated nurse for 30 years, a profession that reflected her caring and compassionate spirit.

Jamene was a proud resident of Richmond, Virginia, where she was known for her vibrant personality and warm heart. She was truly the life of every gathering—her laughter and energy could brighten any room. A lover of seafood and good company, Jamene cherished time spent with family, especially her "babies"—her cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy M. Hammond and father James Leon Walters.

She is survived by her two brothers, Kevin and Ramon Walters; two uncles, Mickey Melvin and Rev. Irvin Melvin (Shearline); two nieces, Nikki and Tabu; one nephew, Andreas; six great-nieces, and two great-nephews. Though she had no children of her own, she was a second mother to many, and her nieces and nephews will forever remember her as "the best auntie anyone could ask for."
