Obituary

Jamal Raheim Short was born on February 12, 1988, in Richmond, Virginia, to Patricia Tisdale and Jeffrey Eugene (Big Jeff) Short Sr.

Jamal earned his GED from the Adult Learning Center in 2006 and proudly enlisted in the United States Army Reserve in 2007, where he completed Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT).

Jamal was known for his humor, creativity, and natural talent. He had a rare gift for making people laugh through his storytelling and his ability to turn even the simplest moments into something unforgettable. His presence drew people in, and his personality left a lasting impression.

A man of many creative gifts, Jamal had a deep passion for tattoo artistry, drawing, barbering, and creating detailed portraits for others. His creativity flowed through everything he touched, and many continue to carry pieces of his work through his art and ideas. He will be lovingly remembered for his creativity. joy, and the impact he made, with his legacy living on through his children, his art, and the many lives he touched.

Jamal was preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey Eugene Short Sr., and his beloved son, Te'Jawn Jarell (Tae') Brown.

He is survived by his daughter, Destini Cherell (NiNi) Brown; his mother, Patricia Tisdale; his siblings, Shadae Yancey, Jeffrey Eugene (Jeff) Short Jr., and Jordan T. Short (Phylicia): his nephews, Maleak (Leak) Short, Jeremiah Addington, and Jeffrey (JT) Short III; his niece, Kneshae (Shae) Short; his grandmother, Virginia Ruth Short; and a host of loving uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
