Gilbert M. Carter Jr. departed this life June 13, 2024. Sgt. Carter was a veteran of the Gulf War. Melvin did it his way, all the way to the end. He is survived by his mother, Thelma Carter; sister, Angie Fay Robinson; nephew, Darryl Robinson Jr.; grandmother, Idell Purnell Lee; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
