Freddie A. Sturtevant, 80, of Henrico, Virginia, departed this life on March 14, 2025. Freddie was known for his jokes and entertaining stories. He was an avid driver until the age of 79, a proud supporter of the VA Lottery, a kind neighbor, and above all a devoted family man.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter H. Sturtevant Jr.; mother, Florene C. Wooldridge; and his father, Walter H. Sturtevant. He was an alumnus of Maggie L. Walker High School, and that is where he met his sweetheart and beloved wife of fifty-five years, Alvinie (nee Sessoms) Sturtevant. Now, they are reunited together in paradise. He will deeply be missed by his daughter, Pleshette; two grandchildren, Ariel and Alexander; five sisters, Amanda, Gloria Anne, Victoria, Ada and Linda; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Freddie requested that no funeral or memorial service be held. Instead, the family asks that you remember him through acts of kindness and by cherishing the memories you shared with him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to organizations that support dementia research and care.
