Fred Lee Johnson, Sr. 90, son of the late Bessie Henderson Johnson and Fred Johnson, was born April 23,1932 in King and Queen, Virginia.

He attended public school in King William, Virginia.

He accepted Christ at an early age and after moving to Richmond he enjoyed attending New Beginnings Bible Church under pastor Andrew Hughes. He later visited Mount Tabor Baptist Church until his health began to decline. He then viewed Sunday services and Bible Studies via Live-stream of Worship and Praise Church where he truly enjoyed the teaching and preaching of Pastor Timothy Kirven.

He retired after working several years for Goldberg Inc., formerly Circuit City warehouse, where he was a proud and diligent forklift driver receiving several Certificates and Awards

After meeting the love of his life, Lola Mae Johnson, while riding a GTC bus to and from work. On September 12, 1969, they were married and enjoyed a wonderful, peaceful life together.

His wife, Lola Mae Johnson; two sisters, six brothers, daughter, Patricia Diane Johnson; two step-sons, Robert and William Tuck; all preceded him in death.

He leaves behind his son, Fred Johnson, Jr.; his loving brother, George Johnson, of Moerfelden-Walldorf Germany; his devoted nieces, Annie Irene Hicks (Wendell and Family) and Alfreda Chandler; granddaughter, Toyinette Tuck; several grandchildren, and other relatives and friends whom he really loved. He really appreciated the visits and nice treats from his niece, Claire Butler Harris (Junnie) of West Point, Virginia.
