Forrest L. Washington Sr., 98, departed this life October 5, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deaconess Dora Booker Washington; and grandson, Kareem T. Hutson. He is survived by his three children, Shirley Bey (William Sr.), Forrest Washington Jr. (Simonique) and Jeffrey Washington (Renee); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where viewing will take place Friday, October 14, 2022, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Fair Oaks Baptist Church, 1701 E. Nine Mile Rd., on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 11 a.m. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
