Emanuel
Baker
d. Nov 17, 2024
Emanuel "Weedie" Baker passed away peacefully at his home, taken care of by Trinity Hospice Care on November 17, 2024. By his side was his mother and other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his wife, Robin Baker; and Best Friend, Willie Perkins.
Weedie attended Maggie Walker and later went to John Marshall. Weedie then entered his role as a father. Afterwards, he then met the love of his life, Robin. The two of them formed a bond and grew into a family of 5. He later attended trade school to become a mechanic. It was after that he found his love at GRTC. He worked there as a mechanic until he retired in 2021. Weedie loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed laughter, singing, and just having a "good Ol' time".
Emanuel leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Elizabeth Baker; sons, Jacquell Lynch Sr (Sherica), Travis and Marcus Baker; nine grandchildren, Tra'Niyah Baker, Navaeh Taylor, Deshawn Scott, Travis Baker Jr., Jacquell Jr. and Jhai Lynch, Isaiah Baker, Legend Baker, and Loyalty Logan-Baker; two sisters-in-law, Julia Logan-Hall (Wendell) and Janet Pleasant; two brothers-in-law, Timothy and Robert (Rosalyn) Logan; two aunts, Sandra and Patricia Jones; godmother, Gladys Woodson; two devoted cousins, Mario Baker and Lenso Haywood; devoted friends, Keith Pleasant and Purcell Smith; many co-workers at GRTC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
