Eleanor "Sue" Drake was a wonderful, affectionate woman who truly loved every child that crossed her path. She was born in King William, Virginia, on March 29th, 1944, to the late James and Margaret Carter. She transitioned to her heavenly home on February 20th, 2025.

Sue accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Gethsemane Baptist Church for many years.

She married her soulmate, Stanley Drake; and they built their forever home in Aylett where he made sure to continue their daily ice cream tradition.

Sue was preceded in death by her late parents, husband, brother, Samual Carter; sister, Rosie Carter; and children, Tara Stanley Jr. and Sonya Drake.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Karen Stinson, Nikkie Webb (Herb), Allen Johnson, and Sam Johnson; her grandchildren, Ashley Drake, Talia Stinson, Aaliyah Drake, Herbie Webb, Daniel Webb, Lavell Washington, Jaiden Washington, Alexcia Johnson, Mya Johnson, Allice Rowe, and Jameis Webb; one great-grandchild, Kali; and a huge host of truly loved sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
