Edith M. Brooks, of Richmond, departed this life October 29, 2023. She is survived by her husband, Maurice Brooks Sr.; two sons, Bobby Rouse (Tammy) and Shawn Brooks; one brother, Earl Mason (Ruby); two sisters, Mabel Towns (Samson) and Alice Bibbs; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where viewing will take place Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 3 to 8 p.m., and where funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
