David Lee Parsons, Sr. of Henrico County, Virginia departed this life on July 11, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Naddie Parsons; sister Naomi Parsons Smith and brother George Parsons.

David was born in Chesterfield, Virginia on September 19, 1945. He attended Armstrong High School and later enlisted in the United States Army. After serving in the military he became an employee of E.B. du Pont de & Company where he worked for 28 years until he became ill.

David married Mozelle D. Parsons. Unto this union two sons were born, Todd (Kimberly) and David Parsons, Jr. He is also survived by his eldest son Micheal Coleman of Atlanta, Georgia.

David later was baptized at Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Robert Pettis, Sr. when he became a Deacon in the church. Years later, he joined New Bridge Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Marcus Martin.

David loved his family and always made himself available if needed. After Jesus, his grandchildren were his greatest love.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of 53 years, devoted sister, Roberta Caston; devoted brother, Bill Parsons; 4 grandchildren, Mylahn, Ahman, Alani and Jace Parons and many nieces, nephews.
