Cynthia Dianne Rustin was born March 14, 1947, in Richmond VA. She departed this life on Sunday June 8th, 2025. She was the daughter of the late James and Gladys Randolph. She was preceded in death, by her brother, William "Boobie" Randolph; and grandson, Curtis Mathia Rustin IV.
Cynthia attended Richmond Public Schools. She graduated from Armstrong High School in 1965. After high school, Cynthia married Curtis M. Rustin Jr., with whom she had two wonderful children. She was employed by Philip Morris USA, retiring after decades of service.
Cynthia enjoyed being among family and friends. She loved laughing, dancing, reading novels, watching her soap operas, shopping, traveling and playing cards. She especially loved playing cards (Mau Mau) with her card partners Gale and "Pokey."
Cynthia is survived by her children, Curtis Mathia Rustin III and Catina Dianne Rustin; her grandchildren, Rianne Rustin (Gregory), Edward Rustin (Khairunissa), and Eric Rustin; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Rustin, Kassidy Rustin, Enissa Rustin, Bayyinah Rustin. Elijah Edgreen, Theodore Edgreen, and Jordan Edgreen; her brother, James Wesley Randolph Jr.; two sisters, Deaconess Gladys Williams and Hattie Randolph Horne (Arthur); nieces and nephews, Wanda Scott, Daryl Randolph Sr., Gilverto Williams, Shalonda McDonald (Andre), Dionne Horne, Bernita Randolph, and Ahad Shabbazz; a host of great-nieces and nephews, devoted friends, Evelyn Thorpe, Joyce Ann Banks, Joyce Cooper, Barbara Ann Johnson, Gladys Burroughs, Olivia Adams, Cornelius "Coop" Cooper and Geraldine "Missy" McCord; The Qualified Queens Group, of which Cynthia was an honorable senior member, Catina, Precious, Reytina, Shonita, Angela, Tameeka, Keisha, Tina, Nicole, Wanda, Charnette, Sonja, Tammy, Peaches, Monica, Stephanie, Michelle, La'Shawn and Monique; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
