On Monday, June 23, 2025, Charlie "Bo" McCormick Jr., at the age of 76, answered the Master's call at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia.

Charlie was born on February 4, 1949, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late Charlie McCormick Sr. and Cathlean McCormick. He was educated in the North Carolina Public School System.

Affectionately known as "Bo," he lived a full and vibrant life. He had a deep love for fishing, listening to music, playing the harmonica, and capturing moments through photography. Above all, he was especially passionate about Quartet Singing, which brought him great joy and connection.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, John "Chief" McCormick and Bernard Robinson, as well as his dear friend, Ms. Minnie Pearl Jiles.

Charlie leaves to cherish his memory his devoted daughter, Christine Wathel (Gregory) of Illinois; three grandchildren: Debryan O., Latoya S., and Christopher C. Smith; five great-grandchildren: Isaiah D., Giovanni N., Skyrah C., Ryan A., and Caleb J. Smith; one sister, Pinkie Farmer of Queens, New York; two brothers: Murdock McCormick and Mitchell McCormick (Lolita); sister-in-law, Elizabeth Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends — especially his close buddies, Dave and Shorty.

Bo will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, kind spirit, and for truly living life to the fullest with an unwavering love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed but his legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
