Keon Veney was born July 20, 1986, in Richmond, Virginia to Elsie Veney and Kenneth Bennett. During a period of time besides Richmond, he also lived in Texas. He attended the Henrico Public School system and graduated from Highland Springs High School. He loved to participate in African Dance, Color Guard and Winter Guard.
Through the years he worked various jobs. He was big on his family, especially his nieces and nephews, cousins and friends' children.
He had an open heart of gold to all that knew him. Faith, family and helping others became the cornerstone to his existence. As a person of enduring faith, he held strongly to his beliefs. His reliance on God's Word sustained him during challenging times and provided an assurance that everything would work out for God's glory. Spending time with his family highlighted the value he placed on people. Always one to assist those in need, he gave of his time, effort, and energy to bless others.
On Sunday, May 7, 2023, God called Keon home. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Elsie Veney; father, Kenneth Bennett; two grandmothers, Cora Veney of Farmham, VA, Shirley Layne of Chesterfield, VA; sister, Chirena Veney of Petersburg, VA; two nieces, Kaytriece Veney and Kayla Veney; one nephew, Kayvon Veney; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; his special friends, Ebony Howard, Mesha Marrow, Anais Wyche, Lisa Collett and Tammie Clarke.
